Meta is currently valued at nearly $1.5 trillion, having reported q2 2024 earnings of $39.07 billion in july—an increase of 22% year over year.

So in some cases you make less by having worked at meta if you get laid off since you probably have to be out of job for some time (esp low yoe). Mark zuckerberg’s meta has gone through multiple rounds of layoffs in recent years.
